SCO iPad App

I had the pleasure of attending the Singapore Chinese Orchestra's media conference announcing their 2012/13 season last month. Among the many topics discussed, what was most interesting was the launch of their apps for smartphones, where users can download and listen to audio clips and be kept in touch with the orchestra's latest news and performances. Here's the description from the orchestra's press release describing the app's features:

SCO launches a refreshed iPhone and iPad app!

Singapore, 10 August 2012 (Friday) – Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) has launched its refreshed iPhone and iPad apps on 8 August 2012! SCO is also the first Chinese Orchestra worldwide to launch mobile apps! The SCO Android app for Google Play will be launched soon.

The objective of the mobile apps is to offer an additional channel to make SCO’s concerts easily available on the go for SCO and Chinese orchestra lovers. App users will be able to easily navigate for information on the SCO, concert listings, share concerts with friends via social media and book tickets instantly via SISTIC! Users will also be able to enjoy SCO music on the go anytime by downloading 10 free SCO music tracks in the app! Through the mobile apps, SCO hopes to reach out on an international level to attract overseas fans.

Download SCO iPhone and iPad apps now and flash the app at one of SCO’s selected concert nights (listed below) at the SCO Concert Hall foyer reception from 7-10pm to redeem a souvenir!
